In August, 2012, The Bureau of Land Management is auctioning off 20 lots in the towns of Paonia, Hotchkiss and Crawford, all rich organic agricultural areas with 50 organic farmers growing vegetables and fruit totally dependent on clean water which would be at risk. Halt the BLM from this auction on August 9th until all environmental risk factors are determined.
Why is this important?
Stop Natural Gas drilling when there is a surplus of natural gas that we are selling to China. Natural Gas Drilling (Frac'ing) is an UNREGULATED highly toxic process done by the gas and oil industry with strong lobbies in Washington.
