Don't Fund Congress During Shutdown
Let's "defund" Congress until they stop this nonsense of the shutdown. Why should they get paid when they aren't doing their jobs - funding the government? If you are losing $$$ right now, petition to stop Congressional (Legislative Branch) salaries until they pass a budget! Not just a two week CR but a real budget! I gave 23 years on active duty in the Navy, including Pentagon on 9/11; Middle East for 12 months. Don't let the terrorists get a bigger victory over our nation by letting Congress destroy our economy and way of life!
Why is this important?
Because I am an American serving this country for almost 30 years (both active duty and civil service) and I respect that the will of the people should prevail here. Congress is hurting us as a nation! Protest to your congressional representative, loudly and boldly. Don't sit idly by and take this! Move on with courage!
