Don't let Governor 1% Squash the Middle Class

Urge NJ legislators to override Governor Christie's threatened veto of the budget.

On June 26, the legislature passed a sensible budget that will raise taxes on people making more than $1,000,000 a year but help the average people of New Jersey. Christie has threatened to veto it.

Christie said "there is no room for candy in the budget." Services for people who are hurting badly is not candy. Tax cuts for the rich are candy. It is time for Governor Christie and his rich friends to share the burden more proportionally.

Why is this important?

For 5 years now Governor Christie has cut taxes for the rich at the same time he cut services for the rest of us. The result is soaring deficits, reduced credit ratings, and un-employment higher than New York, Pennsylvania, and 40 other states. It is time to reverse course and ask those who have profited most by his policies to help those who have been hurt.
