Don't let Halliburton write the rules for fracking in North Carolina. Protect the interests of North Carolinians, not out-of-state oil and gas companies.
Why is this important?
A rule that would require fracking companies to disclose the chemicals they use in the process was set to be approved by the North Carolina Mining and Energy Commission. But after oil and gas giant Halliburton weighed in, the vote on the rule was delayed, and the commission is going to rewrite the rule based on Halliburton's feedback.
The Mining and Energy Commission is supposed to protect the interests of North Carolinians, not out-of-state oil and gas companies. Tell the commission this is unacceptable.
