DON’T X Out OFFENDERS
There are hosts of programs, project; and grants to support these projects on crime. Most of the repeated crime comes because of the decimation against criminals and past offenders. There are at least 80% of the first time convicted criminals mind set is not to commit crime again. Yet society paves the way for them to survive by any means necessary.
There are many programs in the society that states they will help x offenders on the other hand, an offender go to apply for a job and the criminal background disqualify them for a past crime. Locating housing is a nightmare unless the go to a roach motel. This has to stop jail and prison is not to reform but to form them for society set back. I propose a petition to reform x-offenders without discrimination.
Why is this important?
I am in a place in my life that I have witnessed much of the discrimination with X-offenders trying to regain a place back in society and or not awarded the opportunity. I have not been affected by this type of discrimination however, many of the women and men I have talked to have. It saddens me as they cry to tell their story on how they want to do better but cant. I must also say my son will be affected by this decimation as a first time felon know how rough it is going to be has prompt this petition.
