Dr. Alonso please remove Mrs. Traci Amberman from Federal Hill Preparatory School

As past, present and prospective parents and guardians of Traci Amberman’s students we feel compelled to appeal to you, Dr. Alonso, for the removal of Mrs. Amberman from Federal Hill Preparatory. The manner in which she runs her classroom and speaks to the children is unacceptable. There have been multiple documented instances in which Mrs. Amberman’s behavior has been brought to the attention of the school administration and your office as well. These instances include, but are not limited to, excessive yelling and repeated use of demeaning language to the children, ages 6 and 7, in her first grade class. We believe every child deserves the right to be treated with respect and dignity during their school day. We are dedicated to supporting our local public city school yet we feel Mrs. Amberman’s ineffective and derogatory teaching style has been tolerated for far too long and fear that if this continues it risks affecting the integrity of our school to say nothing to the long term effects on our children and how they view their educational experience. We request action accordingly.
