It is essential that the East Portland Action Plan (EPAP) receive full support for the 2013 – 14 Fiscal Year City of Portland Budget recommended $279,692 allocation to fund EPAP Operations, Grant and Municipal Partnership programs and Advocacy staff. To continue the important and impressive work being done by the community to guide implementation of the Action Plan and support equity, the EPAP request must be fully funded!
Why is this important?
A diverse group of committed community members in underserved East Portland have been working together for the past 3 years to provide leadership and guidance to public agencies and other entities on how to strategically address community identified issues and allocate resources to improve livability and avoid displacement in East Portland. Our advocacy has effectively addressed many of the 268 items in the Action Plan. Your support is needed now! The City has proposed to withdraw all funding.
