The Artists of El Barrio petition the Government to create a Public/Private Community Based Organization whose mission will be to act as a catalyst for the creation of an Uptown Theatre District in Spanish Harlem.
Why is this important?
I am an unemployed Theatre Artist, who lives in a poor Community with 4 underutilized Theatres, in New York City, the biggest Theatre Town in the world. If these 4 Theatres were operating, they would pump more than $13 million into the Local economy, employ local artists, and change the basic economics of El Barrio.
