Pass a constitutional amendment to eliminate the Electoral College. Amend the constitution to elect the President by popular vote. Ideally I would like this to be put on the ballot to be voted on by the citizens of the USA.
Why is this important?
Why is it that we can count each person's vote when voting for Senators and Representatives but not for the President? Yes, I know the Electoral College is part of the Constitution, but times have changed and so should parts of documents that become outdated. I would very much like to see a constitutional amendment, eliminating the Electoral College and declaring that the President be elected by popular vote. No more red and blue states. That's ridiculous and gives a few states too much say in the election.
