Who are you voting for when you elect someone into office? Exxon Mobile, The Fracking industry perhaps....how about one of the coorporations on the EPA's list of the worst offenders of the environment? Well if we can't get the limitless amounts of coorporate contributions regulated in any kind of way.... this is what we risk. Can you imagine the aftermath of a Government that would be built by and run by coorperations and not tax payers that actually have to live, work and try to enjoy life from day to day. Election funding and contributions should come from individuals and not coorporations. Contact your local government, send an email to the President and sign the petition. Lets make sure that our fore fathers vision of a government for the people run by the people is not lost in translation of the interpretation or misinterpretation of the Supreme Court Justices that allowed this mistake to become law in the first place.
Why is this important?
The government should be for the people and run by the people in every aspect. To think that some big coorperation will be able to fund whomever they want without any bondaries is scarey. Sign the petition, lets send a message that we as American individuals will not stand for this.
