We should elect the President of the United States by the popular votes of the voters rather than by the votes of the Electoral College. It is easily understandable why our Founding Fathers created the Electoral College, in order to provide a better balance between the powers of the larger ones of the thirteen colonies and the smaller ones. But now, with 50 states forming the United States of America, that is not appropriate, and we should eliminate the Electoral college and elect our President by popular vote.
Why is this important?
The petition is about electing our Presidents by the popular vote of the population, rather than by the Electoral College.
