Electoral college is no longer needed with all the information that is out there about candidates. The popular vote is a more democratic process! Eliminate the Electoral college.
Why is this important?
I am an American who feels that the voting process is a travesty of democracy. It should be based on the popular vote and not on the Electoral college (Winner takes all). This past election made that very clear when Barack Obama had been declared the winner with only 60% of the popular vote counted.
