Eliminate "15 minutes of fame" syndrome

Eliminate the "15 minutes of fame" syndrome and help prevent mass killings. Deny recognition to violent criminals by stating and adhering to a national news policy that you will never mention the perpetrator's name thereby removing the notoriety incentive.

Why is this important?

Morgan Freeman put out an excellent piece pointing out that these mass killers are looking for notoriety, fame and the recognition which they feel they never have received. Denying them that recognition removes one incentive for committing these horrific crimes.
