Eliminate Fake News-provide accredited Fact Checker Rating System

Fake news in America has been utilized to alter the opinions of mainstream people with erroneous information designed specifically for the purpose of advancing political agendas of fringe hate groups whose sole purpose is to prevent equal treatment of minorities, LGBTQ, women and non-Christians. There are currently laws to protect consumers requiring Truth in Advertising, there should be similar laws regarding Truth in News so that sources making claims to be "news" sources are held to account for the validity of their information.
Further, we wish to see a rating system of news sources, by accredited fact checkers, in which all news sources carry a rating grade on the validity of information they present.

Why is this important?

The overwhelming amount of fake news that has surfaced over the past 8 years whose target was to discredit and defame many politicians with complete misinformation or partial information to misrepresent facts and other unethical methods has many Americans believing these fallacies over verifiable truth. Fact checking finds continuously that these sources are extremely inaccurate, yet there are no "truth in advertising" type protections in place to prevent the propaganda they are poisoning Americans with. This is an absolute and public nuisance to the people of the United States in such that it is allowing hate groups to gain traction based on lies and fabricated conspiracy theories.
We seek action by the US Government to provide truth in news legislation applicable to TV, radio, print and internet. We wish to see a cumulative ratings system by accredited fact checkers placed on all news sources for the protection of the public interest. There is simply no good reason why every article should require more independent fact checking time than it takes to read the article. Help provide truth and inspire confidence in media again.
