Public education funds should be spent on education of our children, rather than going to for-profit educational corporations. Eliminate for-profit public schools in the state of Michigan.
Why is this important?
Our tax dollars should not be going to public charter schools run by for-profit companies. These schools hurt our state by lowering the salaries of public school teachers and taking state per-pupil funding away from districts. These for-profit charter schools are not increasing student achievement when compared to district schools in the same area, but less state funding goes to education as more goes to administration and corporations' profit margins.
