Agencies such as the Department of Immigration (INS) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have refused jobs to US Citizens that otherwise qualified for positions after successful application, interview and background check clearances other than the credit score requirement.
People can pay their bills if they have employment to provide the means to pay! Why would the government that is supposed to be helping Americans get to work make such a requirement!?

Why is this important?
In the center raging unemployment, the Federal Government is in conflict with itself! The plight of the long-term Unemployed seeking jobs face a new barrier to employment, its own Government! Various Federal Government Jobs are now requiring positive Credit scores as a part of eligibility for the job during the background check.
