Stop the extensive pollution caused by plastic grocery bags and encourage recycling. Accomplish this by imposing a fee on every bag used in stores of at least 50 cents. Allocate this fee into a fund to give 5 cents for each recycled bag.
Why is this important?
Billions of plastic grocery bags are thrown away every day. Many end up in the oceans. Using the system of many European countries which is to charge 50 cents to a dollar for every bag would cause people to reuse their bags or get their own fabric bags, thus eliminating a huge percentage of this waste.
