I propose that the PA Legislature eliminate school property taxes as a means to fund our 501 school districts. In order to be revenue neutral, I aslo propose that to compensate for the loss of this revenue, the State Legislature appropriately raise the state sales tax, the state income tax, or both if necessary.
Why is this important?
This is important for all home owners but especially those who are retired and living on fixed incomes. there is no way that most seniors can keep their homes while school districts keep raising taxes year in and year out.
