Poltical organizations ,and Action Committees, are not in any way chartible organizatons, no matter how they pretend to be. It is merely a way to funnel money to specic causes of their choosing and it is a SHAM. They do not, in any way, need or deserve tax exempt status, therefore the 501 C4 category should be eliminated from the IRS. tax code for ALL political groups.
Why is this important?
There would be no IRS scandal at all if there were no tax exempt (501-C4s) status. There is no reason to pretend these organizations are chartible groups in any way.
