We need a Constitutional Amendment to eliminate the Electoral College and make the president of the United States a valid representation of the American people.
Why is this important?
I think the Electoral College is unconstitutional. Outside of six states your vote for president is worthless. I honestly believe more people would vote from both parties if it was a popular vote. This is not colonial times with separate 'states' each with its own common specific interest. This is modern America with a vast segregation of all demographics across the entire country. I am sure that a number of people don't bother to vote unless there is a hot local issue.
