Except for state-licensed professions, it shall be unlawful for employers to discriminate in hiring and promotion according to how many and what schools a job applicant has attended or graduated from and what diplomas or degrees the job applicant has received.
Why is this important?
Increase job opportunities for many, in particular poor people, by removing an unnecessary barrier to hiring. If something is not necessary to do a job, it should not be a requirement to get the job!
