End Abuse by Pregnant Women to Their Unborn
Petition to End Abuse by Pregnant Women to Their Unborn. Pregnant women are openly smoking, drinking and using other forms of drugs which causes harmful effects to their unborn children. Not much is being done. A law needs to be implemented on a federal level to prevent this type of behavior.
Why is this important?
We need a law that prevents pregnant women doing harm to their unborn children by their acts of smoking tobacco, smoking marijuana, drinking alcohol and conuming other types of drugs. I live in a small town in Illinois where I constantly see pregnant women smoking and drinking and I have tried to educate many of the harmful effects of the newborn but found that with any addiction, women find it difficult to quit. I would like to see women who use drugs while pregnant forced to become educated through rehab or jail if the pregnant women aren't willing to take the steps to stop. I would also like to see the child be removed at birth and brought to a safer environment. Not enough is being done to prevent this form of child abuse.
