End Cannabis Prohibition
Legalize cannabis in all forms for adult (over 18) use, support Oregon hemp industry. Release current nonviolent cannabis offenders.
Why is this important?
It is time we prioritize Oregon's budget,and bring our values to the floor to realize our goals. We need serious funding for education, healthcare and infrastructure, and we need to end waste. Prosecuting nonviolent cannabis offenders is an unnecessary misuse of scarce manpower, equipment, court time, and prisons. This one act of legalizing adult possession and cultivation will immediately free these resources for actual public safety concerns.
Families are torn apart and lives risked daily to enforce an unnecessary law. Cannabis has been proven as a natural remedy for relief of many ailments for thousands of years in many cultures throughout the world.
