End Citizen's United

We ask that Citizen's United be repealed because of its antithetical nature to the democratic process. Corporations should not be allowed to spend money on our campaigns which should be publicly financed with modest spending practices in mind. Until this is fixed, the election process is tainted and not truly democratic. No corporation should be allowed to donate any funds to American political campaigns, as their allegiance to the United States of America comes immediately in question. Only individuals who have sworn allegiance to the United States of America should be allowed to donate at all.

Why is this important?

In November 2010, Congress with Speaker Boehner in charge passed a bill called Citizen's United which allows corporations to donate unlimited funds to political campaigns. Political contributions made by corporations were once entirely illegal as recently as the Nixon administration, now unbounded. Until we fix this problem, corporations will have the greater say in the election process, many of them not even American corporations.
