End Congressional Salaries- Demand they work as Volunteers
Whereas the public should not bear the burden and expenses of Congressional Legislators who hold contempt for the people of the US by working only 44% of the year:
We oppose the following
1) $175,000, Government Salary, with recent salary increases.
1) Full Pay Retirement after serving only one Term in Office.
2) Generous Health Benefits (while opposing Federal Health Benefits for all).
3) Daily free meals in Congressional dining rooms, free parking, two Home(s) allowances, lavish International travel…
4) Exempt themselves from the Laws, such as (Sequestration).
5) Willingness to throw over 700,000 Americans out of work through Sequestration; while opposing Extended Unemployment.
6) Receive Social Security while serving in Office, yet demonize Social Security for others.
7) Remain obstinate against raising new Federal Revenues, yet insist upon Deficit slashing budgets affecting programs such as Meals on Wheels for Seniors, and other programs affecting millions of Children and other Americans, especially those at minimum wage and below.
8) Spending each day raising funds for the next Congressional race, as opposed to tending to the work of the people.
Due to the lack of productivity and the contempt for US citizens we oppose Congressional Members receipt of a Salary from US Taxpayers and demand that Members serve as Volunteers.
