Pass and ratify the "We the People Amendment" to the US Constitution which was introduced into the US House of Representatives in February 2013.
It states that:
1. Constitutional rights are only for natural persons (not corporations, unions or any organizations).
2. Money is property not speech and can be regulated when attempting to affect elections.
This Amendment addresses the undue influence that the extremely wealthy and large corporations have over our government.
Why is this important?
What ever you care about probably will not happen as long as giant corporations and the extremely wealthy control our government through election spending. I want my $25 donation to mean something. I want elected officials to care about and listen to their constituents rather than just the big donors. I want voters to have their desires upheld over corporate moves without being thwarted by corporate claims of Constitutional rights.
