Amend the federal drug code to move marijuana, cannabis and hemp from Schedule 1 to Schedule 2 of the federal drug code, allowing doctors to prescribe medical marijuana. States can then decide to allow medical marijuana or not.
Why is this important?
Ending federal laws regulating cannabis, marijuana and hemp. Current federal law places these three substances in Schedule 1 of the drug code (No known medical use and/or great chance of abuse). There are many published studies showing the medical uses of marijuana or cannabis, some published by the government itself. Putting people in jail for using a plant that is basically a weed and totally safe is insane!
