End Gun Shows at Metro
In the absence of strong gun control regulations, we continue to see terrorist attacks like Orlando and Las Vegas. Our regional government, Metro, should immediately end its practice of holding gun shows at its facilities.
Why is this important?
After Orlando, we un-successfully petitioned Metro to eliminate gun shows. We were told that ending shows would push the problem to other jurisdictions. Each jurisdiction should consider the problem.
I am saddened and angered by the mass shootings and everyday gun violence that we as a society can choose to stop.
Now, we can act. By eliminating gun shows, we send a clear message that we want to be part of the multiple levels of solutions required to end this epidemic in our country.
