End LA Homelessness in 2020
Enough is enough. We want ALL of LA's homeless off the city's sidewalks, parks and beaches and into safe, transitional shelters. And we want you to do this by 2021.
We've waited long enough, and the homeless have suffered long enough.. Now is the time for a big, bold solution to end street homelessness in 2020.
The solution can be an emergency temporary homeless village on hundreds of acres of unused land near LAX. It can be temporary shelters elsewhere in the City and County – structural tents, tiny homes, innovative shelters or existing structures. Whatever enables the homeless to find the shelter, safety and services they need...get it done-- NOW.
Our streets, sidewalks, parks, underpasses, alleys, hillsides and beaches are no place for men, women and children to live. It is dangerous, unsanitary, inhumane and shameful -- and it must stop, now.
Whatever laws and regulations need to be changed, use your power to change them. Please stop explaining why a big, bold solution won’t work, and make it work.
When Los Angeles wants to do big things, it can do them. End street homelessness in 2020.

Why is this important?
A Nov. 10, 2019 Los Angeles Times op-ed on the idea of a homeless "village" that would create temporary, emergency shelter for all of the City's homeless received a huge, positive response. Clearly, Angelenos are eager for a big, bold and immediate solution to the homelessness that destroys lives and ruins our city.
How it will be delivered
