Republicans want to hit the middle class twice; first by cutting Social Security and Medicare benefits (which are NOT entitlement but tax-deduction, paid-for programs), and second, by refusing to end tax-payer funded subsidies to oil companies already earning billions in profit every fiscal quarter.
So tell Congress & the White House "IF NO END TO TAX-PAYER FUNDED OIL COMPANY SUBSIDIES, THEN NO CUTS TO SOCIAL SECURITY OR MEDICARE".
Why is this important?
Republicans want to reduce the Federal Budget deficit by reducing programs & benefits that primarily affect the middle class, yet refuse to end subsidies, loopholes, & tax-breaks for their rich supporters.
A strong middle class is essential for a strong economy, and a strong economy should be our top priority. Thus attempts to reduce the deficit on the backs of the middle class while protecting the wealthy should be stopped immediately.
