Reduce the interest rate for delinquent property taxes in Oregon from 16% to the average rate paid on savings accounts in Oregon
Why is this important?
The interest rates charged on delinquent property taxes are excessive and a significant cause of homelessness. If circumstances prevent a person from the timely payment of property taxes, the 16% interest rate can put them in a hole from which they can never climb out.
