End Private Campaign Contributions and "Take Our Country Back "
In order to be elected, or re-elected, politicians must spend years raising money from inidividuals and corporations. Those who give the most to a large extent control the political process, both through the way their candidates use their money to advertise and market themselves and run negative ads on their opponents--and from the access and influence they have earned through their contributions. Although they may not control the winner, they can have a huge influence over who becomes the two major-party candidates.
This is not a Republican or Democtratic issue--it's an American issue that is steadily eating away at the fabric of our democracy. Let's end private campaign contributions and, like some other countries, limit the length of political campaigns.

Upset about a congress focused on in-fighting and name-calling rather than on our Nation's business? Nothing can be effectively done about this until we take control of the electoral process from corporations and wealthy individuals and return it to the American people.
