Let's have all our congressional delegates, our senators, and our president simply cut their own entitlements. We can save trillions just by this one step. Our elected folks can receive social security and pay into this instead of their own retirement program, they can stop taking full retirement pay even after only two years of service, and let's stop paying salaries to these folks now. All this saved money will strengthen our tax base, strengthen Social Security, Medicare, and medicaid.
Why is this important?
Ending all the entitlements our Congress provides to itself would be a very meaningful way to increase our country's revenue, save us taxpayers a bundle, and make sure our elected folks serve our needs not their own.
