Needless waist of lives and resources. There's more,cheaper and readily available drugs on the streets than ever before. (in my 54 yrs) That's how the Cartels get back. I think the war should be stopped and the drug problem taken over by the Govt. Socialize it. Take the profit out of it. Our neighbors Mexico floods the west coast with heroin and soldiers in Afghanistan guarding poppy fields. That's all they have to offer the world and the first crop that was planted when the Taliban left. The drug problem creates a lot of jobs but those jobs could be converted to other services in the same field. Drugs and the way it's being handled will never work. Has it? NO There has to be another way other than the broken justice system.
Why is this important?
It's a very profitable business for the Government.
