The war on drugs has been ineffective. Our citizens need to be provided better treatment than being thrown behind bars. Barack Obama and Eric Holder need to change the scheduling of Marijuana and subsequently let thousands of prisoners free.
Why is this important?
The lack of precedent for the alarming rate of incarceration in our nation needs change. We seek to bring freedom to thousands of our men and women, mothers and fathers. Marijuana scheduling is too severe and legislation is past due, as the President commented "marijuana is no more dangerous than alcohol". There doesn't seem to be a case for criminalizing the substance based on safety, economics, or morality. Therefore, the prisoners should be freed!
