Addicts have mental and physical health issues. Incarcerating them is ineffective. The motives for criminalizing use is both punitive and for profit. Regulate drug use either as part of the medical profession or regulate it and tax it like alcohol. This has been endorsed by actual people on the ground fighting this endless war.
Why is this important?
Decriminalize drug use and make it a medical issue. Stop ruining lives and stop enriching vicious drug lords and their hired murderers.
