Ending government barriers to Solar Electricity

To simplify paperwork and insure safety and consistance among authorities, 10 kW or smaller residential PV systems that cover no more than 50% of the home's roof area, and are under 1200 pounds should require ONE permit only, which satisfies the electrical, structural, utility and Department of Revenue paperwork requirements.

Why is this important?

There are NO technical or functional barriers to Residential solar in Washington State. Red tape and competing bureaucracies add significant costs. The process must be streamlined to reduce costs. As it stands Utilities, Labor and Industries, and local governments are the major impediments to clean energy and green jobs in this sector of Washington's economy.
