Entertainment Accountability

My name is Sarafina Casimir, I’m a Christian living in California with a serious concern about the issues of mass abortions and gun violence. Its apparent to me that programs such as planned parenthood get much funding from tax payer dollars and I’ve come to the conclusion that hope in federal abortion bans may lead to another problem, more single parents reliant on welfare. This realization is disheartening, especially when considering the mass amounts of people dying due to gun violence as well. As a Christian it is in my nature to be disturbed by the above and after years of research and contemplation my understanding is that the only way to combat these moral issues is to address the root causes which in this case leads to the entertainment industry. This industry has been a weapon of domestic terrorism through use of verbal, visual and psychological suggestions and often times outright calls to action. Rap lyrics demanding gun violence in urban communities, repetition of sexually risky cues, visuals of assault tools, fornication, casual drug use all delivered through visual and audio outlets that our youth and adults alike then consume. It is no surprise that as more of an abundance of these forms of communication reached the audiences an even greater abundance of crime have occurred, the amount of single parent households has soared, dysfunction in households have increased leading to many fatherless children and fueling the for profit abortion clinics. I can go on and on with stats and sources but, human to human, I believe you and I both understand that this is a humanitarian crisis that must be fixed. I believe you can help us, the human collective who want to see mankind in the image of God, live as such. We must save the lives of the children from murder whether in the abortion clinics or by gun violence because of this prevailing cultural error in the fabric of our society. We need you to help us by demanding policy that will regulate, fine and jail the people in the entertainment industry that promote the dangerous messages that have taken members of the human family away from us by signaling, suggesting and commanding acts that defy the laws of God which lead to most ailments from economic decline, crime, prostitution, government spending, drug trafficking and abuse to so much more. I look forward to the day when sound policy will be applied to aide us in combatting this form of domestic terror so that peace, love and prosperity will be a natural way of life for all families and Americans.
