I feel that the wealthy and the corporations should have to pay the same amount of tax as everyone else in the country. If EVERYONE paid 40% of their income to the government each year, we would soon have no deficit, we would have the money for the programs that we need, and people could feel as if they are truly equal, and had an equal investment in our country.
Why is this important?
My petition is to raise public awareness to the fact that even the poorest pay at least 28% of their income in taxes, why is it that the rich and the corporations who are raking in the money get by without paying taxes. Poor people, if they get a substantial raise in their income, they get an equal raise in their tax bracket. I
