I propose that politicians contribute to their retirement and receive the same retirement benefits as all citizens. They should follow the same guidelines as all of us with regard to retirement age,, income based on contribution, Medicare A & B.
Why is this important?
There is no good reason why political leaders should be on a retirement plan, income and health benefits, that is different and better than the rest of us. After all, we voted politicians into office to serve the public, not to be served by the public.
