Equality for Medicaid Eligibility

Raise the asset limitation for singles to bring it more in line with the asset ceiling for married couples.

Why is this important?

Are you single or widowed? If you are, did you know that your assets can be no more than $ 2,000 in order to be considered for medicaid assistance? But if you are married your assets can total $ 90,000 and you can have one home and one car. This policy is clearly discriminatory for many citizens.
