While it's great that national attention is being brought to the issue of slaughtering horses, we still need to convince more of our elected officials that it's time to place a national ban on the slaughter of American horses for human consumption.
So what can we do?
SIgn this petition and circulate it to everyone you know. The goal is to pass a bill banning the slaughter of horses for human consumption on the state level. The process is easy, and you can do so here.
