Eradicate Congressional Entitlements
The Congress are elected by the citizens. But, unlike the citizenry it is supposed to represent, they have free health care, free pensions, contribute nothing to social security and nothing to medicare.
How can these elected officials make sound decisions and support the citizens that elected them if they are unaffected by any of the serious decisions that come before them. Stop these entitlements. Force all of Congress to pay into Social Security and Medicare and live off the money they have contributed. Eliminate free heath care and free pensions. No other citizen gets these "free perks". After they leave office for any reason, then they no longer receive anything from the government in the form of free perks. And lastly, when there are "sequesters" voted on by Congress, then they should be the ones MOST SEVERLY impacted by cuts in their pay.
