Every Citizen Votes

In any election for federal office, it shall be sufficient evidence of a person's right to cast a ballot if , before casting their ballot, that person signs an affidavit before an election official stating as follows: I am a citizen of this state and of the United States and I am legally entitled to cast my ballot in this election.
Further, on any election day set for any federal office, no person entitled to cast a ballot shall be required by his or her employer to work more than four hours.

Why is this important?

Recent restrictions on voting by many state legislatures are a blot on democracy. Voting should be easy and encouraged.
