President Obama: for real change, get rid of the Wall Street insiders in your White House. Evict Timothy Geithner and Ben Bernanke, who seem to be handling the banks and investment firms with kid gloves. Let's get someone who will institute regulations with teeth and prosecute fraud, insider trading, and price-manipulation of stocks and commodities. Hire someone like Paul Krugman or James Galbraith.
Why is this important?
Timothy Geithner and Ben Bernanke aren't part of the solution to our nation's economic fix; as alumni and protectors of Wall Street, they are part of the problem. We need advisers such as Krugman and Galbraith to press for regulations with teeth and for effective investigations of fraud and price-fixing.
