Exchange eating for McDonalds Christmas

I think that there should be a movement to call your local McDonald's franchise, and promise to eat there over the next week (even if you normally don't) if they will CLOSE for Christmas, and a second time if they will close by 9PM Christmas eve. By now people should realize that employees are almost never REALLY "volunteers". For me it isn't a religious matter. It is the point that folks should have time with their families without coercion.

Why is this important?

McDonald's is twisting the arms of franchisees to be open Christmas day. I suggest a movement to call your local franchise and tell then you will eat there during the holidays only if they will close Christmas day (and eat there more if they also close early Christmas Eve). Not a religious matter for me. A matter of employees having the ability to chose what meets their needs.
