Exclude Rhode Island from Offshore Oil Exploration
Rhode Island is our nation's smallest state yet we have 400 miles of coastline. Our economy is largely dependent on tourism and other industry related to the ocean. Oil exploration off our coast has the potential to be disastrous to our local and regional economy.
Why is this important?
My family, my town, my state, and all of New England depend on clean oceans for future prosperity. Rhode Island had an oil spill 20 years ago that decimated marine life and severely impacted our local economy. We note that your winter home state, President Trump, has been removed from consideration for offshore oil exploration. Why not mine?
