Expand Yosemite National Park for its 150th Birthday
I urge you to support a Boundary Line Adjustment for Yosemite National Park so that we can expand Yosemite in time for its 150th birthday and better fulfill John Muir's original vision for the park.
Why is this important?
We have an opportunity this year to expand Yosemite National Park by hundreds of acres, just in time for the 150th anniversary of Yosemite’s original Land Grant. This expansion will restore beautiful forest land that was stripped from the park and given to loggers, miners and the railroad industry long ago. Only Congress has the power to expand Yosemite National Park: With the leadership of preservation champions like Sen. Diane Feinstein, we can get this done in time for Yosemite’s 150th birthday.
