Extend Quarter 1 For Pinellas County
Considering the widespread impact, we would like to kindly request an extension for Quarter 1. This would not only allow students more time to recover and complete their work but also provide teachers with the flexibility to offer the guidance and support we need during this time. An extension would enable everyone to meet expectations without the added pressure that these unexpected events have caused.
Why is this important?
Hurricane Helene and the upcoming Hurricane Milton have caused significant damage to our county. Many of our schools have been used as shelters an evacuation zones, leaving us with little time to complete assignments or properly absorb information. An extension would allow us to learn and set us up for success truly.
