"Extend the Emergency Unemployment Compersation (EUC) program."

To whom it may concern:
My name is Scott Degen. I have been out of work since August 2013.
December 28th 2013, my regular unemployment benefits expired.
Because of what is happening in Washington DC, I cannot collect Emergency Unemployment Compersation (EUC) Benefits for the 2014
period, among many other Americans.
Congress believes things are better in America with the workforce. However, I do not believe this is so, on count of the number of jobs that are available and the number people in America that are out of work trying to get those jobs.
As you know, America is the strongest nation in the world. We are constantly contributing any resource available to provide essential care for other countries, when we can't even take care of our own in the United States.
1.3 million people are unemployed, with no fault of their own.
I am fortunate to have a wife that is working. However, she must work extra hours to get the essential bills paid. It is a burden for my wife and myself during this hardship.
There are many single parents, that are not able to provide income for themselves and for their families.
it is time that the United States of America, starts putting their people first and foremost.
This is not just a Democratic problem, this is a Nationwide problem.
I hear on the news that Republicans believe, it is motivation for unemployed employees that were collecting these benefits, to get off their lazy butts to find a job. How would Congress handle this same situation if their butts were out of work and their income came to a halt. I am sure something will be done about it then.

Please, help us try to resolve this matter as soon as possible.
